Traditional tableware is often regular and cold, losing its value when not in use. However, Poetical Tableware breaks this mold by offering a unique combination of dishes and other devices that form a beautiful landscape scenery. Even when not being used for meals, these pieces can be displayed on the desktop, adding a touch of spice to the space. This innovative concept brings a wealth of visual enjoyment to the table.

The Poetical Tableware collection is made using traditional Chinese porcelain craft. The plates and bowls are created separately and then assembled on shelves, showcasing the skill and craftsmanship of the designers. The use of ceramic firing technology ensures the durability and longevity of these exquisite pieces.

Designed by Jia Jing, Wang Aihong, Liang Chao, Xu Chen, and Lan Zhongliang, the Poetical Tableware project began in April 2009 and was completed in August 2010 in China. The team's research focused on bringing a sense of aesthetics to tableware, aiming to eliminate clutter and create a more harmonious dining experience. By incorporating the concept of aesthetics, these designers have provided new ideas for traditional tableware manufacturers.

Overcoming challenges such as the deformation of ceramics during high-temperature firing, the designers have successfully created a collection that combines functionality and artistic beauty. Poetical Tableware has received recognition for its innovative design, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware Design category in 2018. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life.
